MASTER SCUBA DIVER

Gain the in-depth knowledge and skills that will establish you as an outstanding diver. Participation in this course will provide you with the opportunity to improve your diving skills to the level of a professional dive leader.

You will experience the adventure of open water dives in settings that will test your abilities to their limit while enhancing and expanding your diving capabilities.

This course is the ‘stepping stone’ to any dive leadership course.

  • Diving Search and Recovery

The certification dives for this course can be selected from several special interest areas such as:

  • Navigation
  • Search & Recovery
  • Boat Diving Night Diving
  • Fresh Water Diving
  • Non-penetration wreck diving
  • Under water mapping
  • Emergency procedures and rescue
  • Deep/simulated decompression diving

Prerequisites for Entering the Course:

  • Age: Minimum is 15 years.
  • Diver Certification: NAUI advanced certification or the equivalent is required.
  • Equipment: Students shall furnish and be responsible for the care and maintenance of their own diving equipment.

Course Policies:

  • Hours: Academic - 23 hours estimated.
  • Projects: Assignment of independent projects outside of classroom may be utilized to enhance the learning of the students.
  • Confined Water: 5 sessions
  • Open Water Dives: Minimum of eight open water dives is required.
  • Examinations: Written examination is required
