COMPUTER DIVING SPECIALTY

Dutchess Diving Center sells Scubapro Uwatec computers

and Suunto Computers.

This course will cover the basics of these two brands as well as the general use of computers and the importance of using them. We will also compare diving with tables to diving with computers and demonstrate the benefits. Our objective is to educate the students in making a decision on what computer to purchase, and how they function to assist them in diving safer.

This will include such diving as Deep Diving, Multi-level diving, Repetitive diving and more. Anyone who would like to receive a certification with this course must complete two open water dives. Each dive will be first planned using the dive tables and then compared with the dive computer actually used during the dive. Between dives, the student will review their planned repetitive dive using their tables and the computers dive-planning mode.
